Nope, not for me....

When I began my entrepreneurial journey years ago, my mentor and coach told me to read books on personal development.

I promptly ignored him. I have two degrees. I don't need any personal development. I felt personal development was for those "other people," and "other people" were everyone other than me.

Then I attended a business conference and heard about a book called Failing Forward by John Maxwell. I read the book, and I was hooked on personal development, on becoming a better version of myself.  Reading books, listening to audiobooks, attending workshops and webinars, and being coached in the area has helped me to become more open-minded, more peaceful, friendlier, and so much more.

I believe that personal development, some people call it self-development, impacts both your personal and your business life... for the better.

The content on this page helped me, and hopefully it will do the same for you.

Oh, btw, the content is regularly updated, so continue to stop by periodically. 😀

Books That Inspired Me

I love to read books! Paper is preferred. Will do an e-book. Not too fond of audiobooks, although I have nothing against them. I just like paper because I like turning the pages and making markings in the margins, and seeing my progress.

I've been studying a becoming a better you, a.k.a. personal development, for over 20 years and have taken in a lot! Books, workshops, webinars, and coaches. Someone I worked with asked me once why was I so different from my coworkers. And I told her I read personal development books. She asked me to make a list of books that I have read so she could read them too. When she saw the list, she said, "Wow!" I thought I'd share that list of books with you.

Now, remember this is not an exhaustive list. I will be adding more as I remember them and as I read more!
